Affiliate Tutorial

Step 1: See notification under the Sommer Ray Logo header; “Please select a payment method! You can do that in your Profile page.” The word “Profile page” will be a clickable hotlink.

Step 2: Click on “Profile page” and scroll to the bottom. There will be a title named “Payment by” and it will state that No payment method has been chosen.


Step 3: With a “More Info” button. Click on the “More Info” button. Next, 2 options will appear.
1. PayPal
2. By Check (Not to sure about the checks option?)

Step 4: Select the option you desire, click Save and then click Close.

Step 5: Now you will return to your Profile page. Scroll to the bottom and click the “Save” button. You should now be back on the Affiliate Home Page page. At the top of the Affiliate Home Page page you will find a notification “Changes were saved successfully.” If you do not see a notification, please repeat steps 1-5 again to make sure your payment method was saved.

With the Affiliate link, you can immediately start sharing to your audience to receive your commissions. Once the customer clicks on your link from their mobile, tablet or computer, their device will automatically be tracked with a 30 day tracking cookie. This tracking cookie is real helpful, if they didn't buy anything the first time they clicked on the affiliate link, but decided later to go back to the website to purchase something within the 30 day tracking cookie period.

~Tips~
4. How to refer clients –
1) As an affiliate, the easiest way to refer clients is sharing links of the shop.
You can paste them on your personal website or in the social media sites like Facebook, Twitter etc.
Post banners on your website and/or blog.
To request a banner:
Go to page “Banners” where you can view approved banners.

5. How to best use Instagram -
Product Review post and/or stories
Fee post or stories: {Verbiage Talking points and/or caption:}
"Shout out to @SommerRay and her new line. Link in bio.”
"Congratulations @SommerRay !! Love your new clothing line launch. Check her out. I love her leggings. Link in Bio.”
"Love my new hoodie I just got from my girl @SommerRay. Link in bio.”
"Please support my girl @SommerRay and checkout her new clothing line. Link in bio."

The same examples can be used for Facebook, Youtube, Twitter, Website, Blog or any other network. If you need any photos, please let us know.

6. Campaign Promotions
For promotional campaigns, a coupon code will be available for you to share with your audience. When a customer inputs the coupon code at checkout, you will be associated with the order. Note that the promotional codes will be for a limited time and further details will be available before promotion begins.

7. ~KEY TERMS~
Affiliate Home Page Button – Every time you login, the Affiliate Home Page is the first page you will see. This page will have a menu of all the possible pages available to you to manage your affiliate account. And you will also see a brief overview of information about your account. Below is an explanation of the available pages in the menu.

Homepage/Stats page – here you can see your stats in a glance: the visitors you have referred, the referred orders made by them and the conversion

Profile page – here you can set your personal data and choose your preferred payment method (if more that one is available).

Info page – Here is all the needed information for promoting links, codes etc. You will see your affiliated link, QR code (if available) and coupon code (if available) and the commission you will receive for every referred order.

Link generator – From this page you can create links to specific pages from the store. Just paste the link, click on “Generate” and you will receive an affiliated link, which is ready to use. Note that:
Affiliated Link – can be used/shared in social sites
HTML code – is your affiliated link, but formatted for use in websites/blogs, it can not be shared in social sites.

Orders – Here you can see all of your successful referred purchases.
“Referring page” is the page where the affiliated link was placed (and the client clicked on it).
“Landing page” is the page to which the client was referred.

You can use both of the above to see the performance of your different links. if the client used a coupon code, then the above fields will be empty.

Payments – This is the page for the payments, which the owner have made and you have received.

Banners – Here is all the banners, which are given from the store owner. You can paste them to your website and attract more customers. Just click on the green button “Get HTML code” and your HTML code for that banner and your affiliated link will be generated.
